Please Ma’am is a collection of stories centered around the theme of female dominance and male submission. This is the other side of the coin to the Please, Sir book I recently reviewed. This book contains 18 stories and is 200 pages long (including the about the authors and about the editors sections). There’s a good variety of styles of female dominance and even a few I was unfamiliar with. This is obviously a book with sex in it based on the cover picture, so you may want to use discretion when in public. Now, on to the stories!!! As always, I will pick a few of my favorites from the book and summarize.
It’s Not Me, It’s You by Charlotte Stein: This is a story about female domination without even being physically present. The female dominant leaves notes for her male at his desk at work. He has no idea who she is but find her words compelling. He follows her commands and often finds himself so overcome with lust that he has to go to the bathroom at work to jack off. And then something changes…but you’ll have to read the story to find out what!
Modern Major General by Craig J. Sorenson: Ronni is Mason’s new boss and he isn’t happy about having to report to her. After someone else on the team messes up, Mason lets him have it and gets called into Ronni’s office. Mason is expecting praise for his leadership but gets a spanking instead! He is shocked by it and by his response to it and goes to great lengths to try and ‘catch’ Ronni in the act. Little does he know that she knows him better than he does. Before long, Mason’s whole perception of Ronni is changed.
Mr. February by Madeline Elayne: After twenty years of marriage, Mark decides to confess to his wife, Elizabeth, what he truly desires. He writes her a letter telling her and offering her the opportunity to see if she’s interested in dominating him by giving her 24 hours to be his queen. He’s been at work all night and is afraid to go home because he hasn’t heard from her. He finally gets a call from her and is delighted to hear her acting like an angry queen who’s servant hasn’t shown up. He gets home and finally gets to fulfill his fantasies. This is kind of a sweet but erotic story of a marriage that evolves with the needs of the husband and wife.
Paypig by Michael Hemmingson: The male character in this story longs to be told to pay up! He finds a woman on a public community and sends her a message. He would love for her to come up to him in a bar, demand money and walk away. The two agree to meet and do this and if it goes well to continue. The male loves it, it is everything he had hoped for. How do things progress for the two of them? Better read the story to see how it goes!
Houseboy by Rachel Kramer Bussel: Another different type of dominance and submission, this man wants to be a houseboy. He wants to clean up and pick up after his domme and he will be sooo happy to do it. He finds a well known domme on the web who’s house is a nightmare and offers his services. He gets a call from her almost immediately needing her place cleaned for a photo shoot the next day. He goes over, dresses as she commands him to and gets to work, loving every second of it. His initial idea of only cleaning is quickly challenged and he changes his parameters to please her in other ways as well. Both end up as happy patrons.
I liked many of the stories in this book, but I didn’t like it more than Please, Sir as I thought I would. This might have more to do with the relationships I currently have in my life (I’m more sub right now than dominant, though it has been the other way around in recent past). I think that perspective definitely plays a role in how much you enjoy different genres. That being said, there was still plenty of hot and sexy things going on in these stories and if female dominance is something you enjoy, I say get a copy!
