Nexus Gyro

I love finding toys that work for more than one purpose so when Nexus sent me the Gyro that is exactly what I saw the potential for.  The Gyro is a silicone dildo/plug that is just under 4 inches insertable with a large (approximately 2.5 inches) half ball shaped base.  It has a wicked curve and kind of hooked-nose tip.  The tip from front to back is about 1.5 inches long and about .75 inches wide, so it isn’t a super girthy size.  The purpose of the curve and bulbous tip is to massage the prostate when used by men.  Since I’m a woman, I used it for g-spot stimulation.

Vaginally- I loved this!  It is a little short for thrusting, but that wicked curve I mentioned is aptly shaped.  The silicone this is made of is very firm and smooth, so it allows a great deal of pressure to be placed on the g-spot.  The absolute best thing about this during vaginal use is the big ass base.  I find that I tend towards closing my legs or squeezing them closer together before I orgasm, so during solo use base allowed for me to hold the Gyro in while using a vibrator on my clit.  I could also gently maneuver the Gyro with my thighs and create some pressure as I wanted it, all completely hands free (for the Gyro at least).  The only thing that might have been better for vaginal use would be a little extra length for thrusting.  Nexus does have a Gyro Xtreme which is a little longer and thicker that might solve that problem.

Anally- I wasn’t really a fan of the Gyro for anal use. I started out by applying a liberal amount of water-based lubricant to the Gyro and then pressed the tip against my anus and gently pressed until my body accepted it.  To start with, that hooked-nose tip felt pointy during insertion all the way up until it was fully inserted and then it wasn’t noticeable anymore.  For prostate massage, Nexus suggests sitting up and rocking on the round base.  I decided to give that a try just to see if it did anything for me and didn’t get much out of it, though I do prefer to be stretched out laying down for masturbation.  I continued to use another dildo for vaginal thrusting and a vibe on my clit.  Once the Gyro is fully inserted, you reach a slightly thinner neck for your anus to slightly relax around.  I felt like it was not quite small enough because every time I orgasm, I push the Gyro right out, which is kind of frustrating since I like to get off several times before I’m done.  I definitely think the tip of the Gyro would be great for prostates, but it didn’t do a whole lot for me.

So, here is a picture of my Gyro which is a slightly different purple (and better purple, in my opinion) than the photo I downloaded online.  You can also see the slight seam that runs around the body of the Gyro.  The seam isn’t noticeable during use, but if you look for it and run your fingers across it, you will feel it.  There is very little give to the material, as  I said before, but that is a plus!  To care for the Gyro, you can wash it with warm water and anti-bacterial soap, a 10% bleach solution, wash it in the top rack of the dishwasher without soap, or boil it.  If you are using this between orifices or with other partners, boiling is your best bet for a sterile toy.

The Gyro is a multiple use toy for women, but I probably will mostly use it vaginally. It just was much more enjoyable that way for me. If you’d like to get your own Gyro or another of the unique products that Nexus carries check out their site!  Thank you Nexus for sending me the Gyro to try out!
