Nexus G-Rider Part 1: The Female Perspective

Recently, I had the pleasure of getting a box of products to try out from Nexus.  Nexus is a wonderful company that specializes in toys designed for men and women that are different from many thing available on the market.  They have a wide range of prostate massagers and vibrators for men as well as vibrating and non-vibrating toys for women.  A lot of their products can be enjoyed by both sexes.  They also use great materials for their products like plastic, silicone and steel.

The first product that I decided to test out is the G-Rider which comes with a battery included.  This is one of the vibrating toys that Nexus offers and is great for both vaginal and anal insertion.  From base to tip, the G-Rider is 5 inches long, with approximately 4 inches of that being insertable.  The circumference of the insertable portion varies in different places but measures in at approximately 1.65 inches at the widest point.  There is also a boat shaped base that has nubs on one side to provide stimulation.  The base is approximately 5 inches long as well.  The battery compartment is on the bottom of the base as well as the power/function button.

To use this fabulous silicone dildo/plug, just apply some water-based lubricant and then press the tip against either vaginal or anal opening.  I prefer to turn the G-Rider on before insertion, which is done by pressing the power button once.   There are 5 vibration settings available which can be cycled through by pressing the power button.  The settings include:

1- Oscillating waves that speed up and slow down

2- 5 second steady vibration with a 3 second pause between each vibration

3- Steady vibration

4-Slow pulses about 1 second long with 1 second pauses between each

5-3 oscillations followed by a brief pause in vibration.

To turn the G-Rider off, just press and hold the power button until it stops.

When I first tested the G-Rider out, it was vaginally.  I used the included battery and honestly wasn’t that impressed.  The next time I tested it out, I used a brand new battery and holy crap!  It was like night and day!  This is a pretty common experience with batteries that come with products, so be sure to try any toys you get with fresh batteries.  That second time I also tested this out vaginally and the increase in power added the extra boost this needed to be more than just another dildo.  It provided a nice full feeling and was easy manipulate using the base.

Then I tried this anally.  I really didn’t think it could be better but it was.  I really haven’t had any anal toys that provide strong vibration before, usually just a bullet in a dildo.  I was happily surprised at how nice the vibrations felt.  To insert the G-Rider, I first applied some water-based lubricant.  The tip of it is small enough that I felt comfortable using it too warm up a bit before pressing deeper.  If you are more of an anal beginner, you may want to warm up with fingers first.  Allow the first bulb to get in and your muscle to relax a bit around the smaller portion a bit before pressing deeper.  It is very important not to rush things during anal play and make sure you have plenty of lubricant.  The larger bulb feels amazing when inserted and the neck above the base is perfectly sized to allow this plug to stay in.  I position the G-rider with the tip facing my belly button and the nubs running along my vagina.  The little nubs provide some nice, if subtle, external stimulation.  Changing the vibrations while the G-Rider is inserted is a little awkward because it takes a solid push to get it to change, but it can be done.  I found that I most enjoyed the slow pulses and the 3 oscillations with the pause.  Normally when I use vibrating toys I prefer the steady vibrations so this surprised me a bit.  I used another vibrator to stimulate my clit while this was in and was able to have 3 orgasms and not a single one managed to dislodge this plug.  There’s nothing more frustrating than having an amazing orgasm with a plug in only for it to fall out from the muscle contractions mid-orgasm.

To clean G-Rider, you can use warm water and anti-bacterial soap or boil only the insertable portion of the plug.  The base cannot be boiled because it could cause damage to the vibrator inside.  Make sure you do boil this between orifices or partners to avoid any problems.  Water-based lube is the only type of lube you should use with this silicone product.  Silicone-based lubricants could cause damage.

The G-Rider comes is four colors (pink, black, purple, and red).

Thank you Nexus for providing this amazing product for me to try out!  Stay tuned for the male perspective on the G-Rider!
