Got a Minute?

Got a Minute? is a collection of sixty stories of sexy scenarios. There are 222 pages, including the ‘About the Editors’ section with stories ranging from one paragraph to 4 or 5 pages long.  The book is edited by Alison Tyler with a foreword by Thomas S. Roche.  My copy is a paperback with glossy covers that feature a man and woman in a topless sexy embrace.  The man blocks any of the woman’s breasts from being seen, but it still isn’t a discreet cover.

Honestly, I felt a little misled by the title and forewords in this book.  I was expecting lots of quickies but what I got was some quickies and some regular erotica that was short.  The stories weren’t lacking because they were short, quick reads but lacked the sexy urgency that a quickie story holds.  I was craving the hard and fast ‘gotta get to the finish before we get caught’ kind of frenzied sex.  There was some of those types of stories but they were few and far between.

My absolute favorite story in this book was ‘The Rider‘ by Clare Moore.  This story had the build up, the sexiness, and the time crunch.  And, it was a quick read like all the stories.  The main character is Bess who works at a Pony Express outpost.  There’s a rider that she finds extremely attractive and has been flirting with as he has passed through.  She finally decides that she wants to have sex with him but there’s a catch.  He only has a few minutes before he has to be on his way with the mail (per company policy).  Bess has to wait for a day when she’ll be alone at the outpost and then have everything ready.  when her rider comes in, she calls to him from the barn where she’s waiting and they have frenzied, passionate sex before he hops back on his horse and rides on to his next destination.

I think part of the reason that I really liked this story is because it is also kind of romantic.  It brings to mind the quick encounters that were probably a part of life back in the days when travel took so much longer.  A husband would arrive home to his wife for a night or two before having to leave again (if he had a job that required travel).  I like to imagine that Bess and her Rider had more hurried encounters in the future as he returned on his route.

Another story I enjoyed was ‘How to Spank Me: An Open Letter to my Future Lovers’ by Shanna Germain.  The author writes this as if it is a letter (as suggested by the title) detailing all she wants her lover to say and do to her, right down to how she’ll dress.  This is a sexy little story that I really enjoyed.

‘The Magazine’ by Bonfils is about a husband who comes home to find his wife looking through his porn magazines.  She looks quite flustered and turned on.  He asks her to show him which picture she liked the best and shocks him by picking on of his own favorites.  They have quick, hot sex as he has her read the story to him.

‘Gloria’ by Jordan Castillo Price is about a man who runs a special service.  He has a room that has a hole cut into the wall.  Women come to his place, press a buzzer and when he asks who it is they say ‘Gloria’ which is the password.  He lets them in, collects their money and then pleasures them orally through the hole in the wall.  One lady cums and leaves and another presses his buzzer saying its ‘Gloria’.

Overall, the book is a nice collection of stories all of which are no longer than 1500 words.  It might not have been exactly what I expected, but I did find plenty to enjoy.  If you’d like to read this book, you can get it and other erotic fiction from EdenFantasys.com.
