G Marks The Spot Kit

The G Marks the Spot Kit from Good Vibrations is an all inclusive kit that has all you need to get started on your search for the g-spot.  You get the book The Good Vibrations Guide: The G-Spot, the Gyro-G vibrator, and a 2 oz bottle of Please Gel Lubricant.  This isn’t my first foray into the hunt for the g-spot or the first book I’ve read on the subject.  I’ve found my g-spot successfully, though I have yet to ejaculate (if I ever will).  Even with my experience in the g-spot realm, this book had information that was new to me, so don’t immediately dismiss it if you feel you’ve already been there, done that.

Let’s start by discussing the book specifically.  There are 52 pages about the g-spot.  You don’t just learn how to find it, but the history behind it.  The book begins by explaining your anatomy and the different terms used for different parts.  After all, if you don’t know what your working with, how will you ever find what your looking for?  Once you’ve got the geography of your body down, the book moves on to the different erogenous zones that have been identified in recent and not-so-recent history.  This section also covers the history of female stimulation and orgasms as well as providing information on studies done over the years. The next portion of the book talks about how to find the g-spot.  You’re given tips and tricks on things to try (different positions, clitoral orgasms prior to g-spot play (for some), etc.) and things for your partner to try if they are helping you on this hunt.  This section also includes information about female ejaculation, i.e. what it is, what’s known about it, what remains to be discovered, how you can increase the likelihood of doing it.  The final section talks about different toys you can use to help stimulate your g-spot.  There’s a bit of information on dildos, vibrators, and vag balls and their application to the g-spot.  The remaining 11 pages (in addition to the 52) are notes, resources, and info about the author.  This is clearly a well researched book.

The book is a really easy and quick read that flows well.  My favorite part was the inclusion of excerpts from real people’s surveys about their experiences with the g-spot.  The book really illustrates how different sexual stimulation can be for each person.  Something that works great for you might not work for someone else at all and vice versa.  The writing style is even clever and witty in some places, which definitely spurred me on to keep reading.

Ok, now on to the vibrator.  The vibrator included in this kit is the Gyro-G by California Exotics which is approximately 6.5 inches long and 2 inches in diameter at the widest point.  It has a smooth soft rubber cote body that feels almost velvety.  This is a waterproof vibrator (for all you squirters out there) that operates on 2 AA batteries.  The base twists off for battery placement and you can clearly see the rubber 0-ring that makes this waterproof.  To turn the Gyro-G on you twist the base to the right.  The vibrations are of the deep rumbly sort as opposed to the high buzzy kind and they can get hand numbingly strong.  I feel like this vibrator moves parts of my body rather than just buzzing against them, like my labia.  My labia definitely gets vibrated off and onto the body of this vibrator.  The curved tip of this is enough of a curve for me to reach my g-spot when inserted but may not be pronounced enough for others.  I could get it to my g-spot but I didn’t get the same satisfaction of rubbing it against it as I do with the Njoy Pure Wand.   I think this may have to do with the girth and smaller thrusting ability of the Gyro-G more than anything.  I could subtly feel the different girths of the vibrator when moving it in and out of me, but nothing earth shattering.  To care for this vibrator, you can clean it with warm water and anti-bacterial soap or by wiping it down with isopropyl alcohol.

The last part of this kit is the gel lubricant.  This is a water-based lubricant that is pretty near to odorless and tasteless.  I say ‘near to’ because there is a slight something that I can’t quite put my finger on.  It isn’t unpleasant, but you know you’ve got lube on your tongue when you taste it.  The gel is very thick and requires a good squeeze on the bottle to dispense.  I put a dollop of this on the tip of my Pure Wand and held it upside down for about 20 seconds and this stuff didn’t budge.  I’d say that it’s lasting power is about average for most water-based lubricants.  It didn’t outshine some of my favorites but it is far from the worst lube I’ve tried.  It started to absorb into my skin after about 30 seconds of rubbing my fingers together but when I added a little spit, it reactivated.  I used this with both the Gyro-G and the Pure Wand vaginally and felt that with my  natural wetness it lasted much longer.  This is also a glycerin free lubricant which is a huge plus in my book.

Good Vibrations has lots of cool little kits available to choose from. If you can think of it, they probably have a kit with everything you need to get going already put together.  If you’re just looking for one part to complete your own kit, they sell tons of sex toys for women.  Thank you to Good Vibrations for providing this kit to me for review!
