Alumina Revolve

The Alumina Revolve is Tantus’s response to the other metal toys available on the market today like the dildos and plugs from the Njoy line.  The nice thing about the Alumina series is that it is made of aluminum which is much lighter than stainless steel toys.  The Revolve comes in a nice 10.5 inch by 2.5 inch black box that holds the dildo nestled in a foam type material. Inside the box is also a pamphlet that talks about each of the dildos in the Alumina line briefly and the Alumina line in general specifically.  According to the pamphlet, the aluminum used to make this line of toys is not only safe for your body but better for the environment because it is the most abundant metal found in the Earth’s crust.  Another interesting fact in the pamphlet is that this isn’t just any old aluminum, this is 100% aeronautic grade aluminum.  I’d have to say that’s probably the fanciest material I’ve put in my pussy.  Now, if the heft is something that you particularly enjoy about stainless steel toys, you may miss it with this dildo to some degree, but it isn’t feather-light.  There is still some definite weight to this baby.

All of the dildos in the Alumina line come in a magenta-purple color except for the Pace which is black.  The color is the result of anodizing the aluminum in order to reduce corrosion and wear on the dildo.  The texture of the aluminum is completely smooth and allows for any bulges to be felt easily during use.  The two ends of the dildos in this line are designed to unscrew so that you can use them interchangeably to make your own dildo.  There is a rubber ring that sits in the middle of the dildo where they unscrew.  The Revolve measures about 8.5 inches long with the larges bulge on the body measuring approximately1.5 inches across.  As you can see in the pictures, one end has a large ball at the tip with a smooth, smaller shaft down to the middle of the toy and the other end has 3 connected balls that start small and get gradually bigger.

Another nice aspect of aluminum, much like stainless steel toys, is that it holds temperatures wonderfully.  In the pamphlet, Tantus actually suggests running cold or hot water over the dildo to change the temperature before play or having a glass of ice water next to the bed.  I actually didn’t warm it up right before use.  I had washed it with warm water and soap and then set it aside for a little bit while I got warmed up.  By the time I used it, it was pretty much room temperature which still provides a unique cooling sensation.  But the really cool part is that by the time I switched ends, the part that had been inserted had warmed up nicely from my body temperature.  By the end of the masturbation session, the whole thing was nice and warm.  So even if you don’t decide to warm it beforehand, this dildo will get there anyways.

The Revolve is listed as the g-spotting toy in the Alumina line and in that respect, it works quite well.  When I use the Revolve, I like to start with the 3-balled end to warm up.  I use a vibrator on my clit and start with the smallest ball, working up to the largest.  When inserting or removing this dildo, you can feel each of the balls in a most pleasant way.  I enjoy the feel of the balls and the small end to warm up, but after that, I don’t find them to be internally stimulating enough.  Once I’m warmed up, I switch ends and insert the large balled end.  The three balls on the other end actually work great as a handle with the indentations being where your fingers go.  The large ball end is amazing on the g-spot!  It reminds of the Njoy Pure Wand in the shape of the ball and the firmness of the material.  I really love my Pure wand, so this is a huge plus to me.  I did find that the shorter straight handle of the Revolve made it a little more difficult to thrust with than the Pure Wand but it left room for the use of a vibrator without any weird maneuvering, so it’s not something that would keep me from using it.  Speaking of vibrators, this material transmits the vibrations amazingly!  I had planned to test it out but the first contact of vibrator to dildo was accidental and immediately had me rubbing and thrusting more quickly.  It felt wonderful.  I prefer to use a silicone dildo with harder material dildos so there isn’t any loud plastic-on-metal noise to ruin the mood (vibrator of choice is currently the Baby Bug).  Using the the large ball end, I was able to hit my g-spot as accurately as I am with the Pure Wand and had just as intense of an orgasm.

The box that the Revolve came in is actually really great for storage.  After use, you can clean the revolve with warm water and soap or put it in the top rack of the dishwasher and run it without soap.  Once it is clean, you can put it back in the box until next time.  The aluminum material is compatible with all types of lubricant, so feel free to lube up with your favorite lube when using it.

Overall, I think this would be a great addition to anyone’s collection, especially if you don’t have any other metal toys.  The smooth and firm texture of metal dildos is amazing and the ability to hold temperature just bumps them up even further in my mind.  Besides, it’s good for the environment with no batteries to use and lasting a lifetime (if you care for it properly)…is there any more responsible way to give yourself an orgasm?
