Rondo

No, that’s not a question mark, that’s the Rondo.  Ok, it doesn’t look exactly like a question mark, but that was the first thing one of my friends said about it when I showed it to him.  And I haven’t been able to shake the image from my mind.  This is the latest in vibrators that I’ve been testing out and it has quite a few things going for it.

First off, it is rechargeable so no batteries to worry about.  It has multiple settings, which I’ll go over in a minute, and the insertable portion is made of silicone.  The base is plastic, so it is still body safe as well.  The packaging is a sort of cardboard box with two drawers which contain the vibe, the book, charger, converters for European outlets, a cock ring, lube sample, and a maroon velvet storage bag.

The shape of the Rondo is great for a couple of things. The obvious is g-spot stimulation which is helped along by the firmness of the silicone portion. It moves, but not much. The other thing the shape is great for is cupping the clit. Seriously, when I discovered how well it hit my clit when I laid the tip just above my vaginal opening, I was in love. I love a little stimulation to the entrance of my vag anyways, so it was just a bonus.

Ok, so before we get to the vibration patterns, lets talk about the controls.  There are three navy blue silicone places on the plastic base (one is showing white in the above pic, but mine is navy blue).  The very bottom and smallest is the power button.  Pressing this button will turn the vibe off or on, regardless of vibration setting.  The slightly larger button above the power button is the pattern changing button and the largest is actually a silicone plug that slides out for charging port access.  The charging port cover is attached with a small piece of silicone to keep from losing it and when inserted acts as the water barrier.  The vibration patterns are as follows:

1. Steady
2. Low Pulse
3. High/low Pulse
4. Rolling Vibe
5. Fast High/low Pulse
6. Steady followed by 3 Pulses

My favorite vibration setting is the rolling vibration followed by the steady vibration with 3 pulses. The button to change settings is conveniently placed so that during use it is the easiest to reach and the little circular handle is easy to keep your grip on.  The tip of the Rondo (Navy blue) is slightly bigger than the end near the handle and allows for more area to rub against the g-spot. The diameter is actually 1.25 inches which is a good diaemter for easy thrusting, but not too filling. The length of this toy has its plus and minuses for me. The long, deep curve is intended for deep g-spot stimulation, but I have a shallow g-spot. So, I could maneuver this to take advantage of the curve easily, but then I was left with excess toy outside. If I insert it more fully (5.25 inches insertable), the toy curves nicely to run back and hit my clit. Really not a bad deal either way, but I would love if I could have both stimulated at the same time. Clearly, this is a personal anatomy issue and not at fault to the toy. Despite my anatomical incompatability at times, I have gotten several very great orgasms from this toy. The vibrations are deep and thuddy and feel great. They aren’t the strongest but the depth of them makes up for that. Probably a 7 or 7.5 on a scale from 1 to 10.

Cleanign the Rondo is fairly simple. You want to make sure that the silicone plug is inserted over the charging port first. Then, you can use warm water and anti-bacterial soap, a toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution. The vibe is listed as waterproof, but I’m wary of the little plug and only consider it splash-proof.
