Three Luxe

It seems that remote vibes are all the rage these days, some working better than others.  Other than the LELO Tiani, I also reviewed another remote controlled vibe and I have to say that this one is my favorite of the 3 as far as power and functionality go.  This is the Three Luxe from Wet For Her, a company that is lesbian owned and operated. Their company is all about making toys for women designed by women.

First I want to say that my Three Luxe looks a tiny bit different from the one pictured. It has a pink bottom instead of the black on pictured but otherwise is the same. As you can see in the picture, it comes with a remote with a screen. This is one of my favorite things about this little set because you can actually see what setting you have it on and know when the remote is responding. There are three buttons on the remote that include a power button, a plus button and minus button to cycle through the vibration settings. The bad thing about the remote is that it runs on a special battery. It takes one A23 battery and if you leave it in the remote, it drains it fast. Also the little battery cover is a little finicky to get in place. But the screen lights up and displays the number of the vibration you are on.

The egg vibrator is about 3 inches long and 1 1/4 inch in diameter. It runs on 2 AAA batteries that are inserted by unscrewing the bottom. There is a retrieval cord attached to the bottom for easy removal. According to the Wet For Her site, this is made of 100% latex, so if you have a latex allergy, this is not the toy for you. The egg itself fells nice and smooth. It isn’t as velvety as some of the recent silicone toys I’ve handled but it does feel nice. This is not a waterproof toy, so don’t submerge it, but it does have an o-ring to help with splashes/lube/natural wetness.

To turn the Three Luxe on, press the power button a and then the plus sign to move to the first vibration. There are a total of 10 different vibrations and they are focused in the tip of the egg. The vibrations are as follows:
1. Low Steady
2. Medium Steady
3. High Steady
4. Medium paced high strength pulse
5. 3 pulses and a 2 second steady vibration
6. 3 different pulses starting with slow and progressing to fast
7. Long increasing steady vibration followed by 8 pulses
8. A kind of low rolling vibe that moves to high strength and the pulses
9. A slow climb from low steady to high steady, similar to a scale
10. Low steady vibration followed by fast pulses
My favorite settings for internal use are #9 and #3, though I can’t really tell the difference between 1 and 2 when inserted.  For external, I prefer #2, 3, or 4.  The strength of the high setting on a scale of 1 to 10 is about a 6 but it feels pretty intense to me when inserted.  The egg is most easily inserted with a little bit of lube applied to the tip, water-based is recommended.  When this is inserted the vibrations can be heard minimally, so you want to make sure you aren’t in a super quiet place like a library or an awkwardly quiet dinner…you get the picture.  It is definitely quiet enough for a restaurant, club, or any other setting where there’s a little background noise.  The range on the remote is 23 feet and I found that to hold pretty true.  It even works through my bedroom door.

Cleaning the Three Luxe is no challenge. You can wash it with warm water and anti-bacterial soap so long as you are careful that the bottom is securely closed and don’t submerge it. An alternate option to avoid water is a toy cleaner that can be sprayed on and wiped clean.

Get your own Three Luxe or another remote vibe from Tabu Toys and pick up some lube and toy cleaner while you’re at it.

Thanks to Tabu Toys for providing this for review!
